Parish Council Area
The Ocle Pychard Group Parish Council Area contains three parishes – Ocle Pychard, Ullingswick and Felton.
Group Parish Council meetings take place on the third Tuesday of every month (except August and December). Meetings are held at Burley Gate Village Hall and start at 7.30pm unless otherwise advised.
As the level of local government closest to those who live and work in the three parishes, the Parish Council works to improve the quality of life in the area. It represents the views of local people in matters which affect them
It is a democratically elected authority given legal powers to run certain local facilities and services.
Councillors are elected to represent the best interests of their local residents, and parish councils need funds to support their activities. These funds are raised by adding an extra cost known as a “precept” to each householder’s Council Tax bill.
The Parish Council generally meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Burley Gate Village Hall, with the exception of August and December when there is no meeting. For more details about Parish Council meetings, please follow this link.
